Closing Title/Escrow Assistant

We have a client that is expanding and opening a new title office in the Chattanooga area. Previous experience is required and SoftPro Select experience is preferred.


• Assist closing agent by staying organized and aware of their schedule
• Take phone calls and emails from lenders, buyers, sellers, attorney, realtors, insurance companies and others on behalf of closing agent
• Work independently while able to take direction from and support a team
• Order title commitments and distribute to all parties
• Prepare receipts for all funds received
• Assist with wire transfer process
• Prepare loan packages and return to lender
• Open new orders
• Prepare copies for disbursement and closing transmittals
• Assist with final policy disbursement as needed
• Assist with pre-closing files: proofreading and ensuring accurate figures
• Prepare and ship complete closing packages
• Legal document preparation for different locations
• Prepare title policies
• Self-disciplined to work with minimal supervision and demonstrate appropriate initiative when making decisions and problem-solving
• Adaptability – adapts to change in the work environment, manages competing demands, and is able to handle frequent changes
• Dependability – prompt arrival, follows instructions, responds to manager’s instructions, and accustomed to a team environment
• Strong computer skills – including all Microsoft Office software programs and industry specific computer software(SoftPro Select)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment



• Must have a minimum of 3 years' experience
